Financial Advisors at work

What is a Financial Advisor?

A financial advisor is a very broad term, but generally it applies to someone who helps guide another person’s finances with a set goal such as retirement or paying for a child’s college tuition. It can also include investment advice, life, home, and auto insurance, income tax preparation, and estate planning. We pride ourselves on being comprehensive financial planners since we will look at every aspect of our client’s financial situation before we make recommendations.

Who Needs a Financial Advisor?

It is a common misconception that financial advisors service primarily wealthy people with large, diverse investment portfolios. While someone with a broad investment strategy and many assets is a great fit for a financial advisor’s services, just about any person can benefit from a sound money management plan. Good advice applies the same to the middle class as it does to the mega-rich, after all.

Many millionaires have accumulated their wealth due to long-term saving and investing. Everyone starts somewhere, so we understand that those who are just starting to deserve our help equally to those who have already lived through their accumulation years. Financial literacy is not a common school subject in the United States, so we strive to educate our clients regardless of their background or current situation. We have a wealth of knowledge, and we will share it with anyone who is willing to listen.

Why Work with Summit Financial Consulting?

We have experience handling clients in all income brackets, and we understand the specific needs of each. Everyone’s financial goals are different, and we understand that. We will work with you to build a plan to achieve those goals, and we will be there every step of the way to guide you to financial freedom.

  1. We offer comprehensive financial plans that cover investments, insurance, debt, and many other areas that are important to your overall financial health.
  2. We contact our clients proactively when the market looks poor.  We know investments can be stressful, and we do our best to tame emotional responses.  In many portfolios, we may even move the monies to safety automatically when we believe it’s prudent.
  3. Customer service is our number one priority.  We aim to return phone calls and e-mails as soon as possible.  We proactively schedule review meetings to keep you updated on your investments and other important financial areas.
